Thermo Power
Thermo Power was incorporated on April 28, 2023 and has its registered office at rue de la Station 19, 1300 Limal. The company's main field of activity is the conversion of heat into electricity using the Seebeck effect, thanks to thermoelectric generation modules (known as TEGs). Thermo Power is an independent start-up that exploits developments made by UCLouvain since 2012 in the field of thermoelectricity.
It implements the industrialization of thermoelectric modules based on Fe2Val material with optimized stoichiometry, the main constituent of thermoelectric modules, which differentiates itself from its competitors through increased resource availability, greater sustainability, operability at higher temperatures and high durability, for comparable performance (depending on the application) and a fraction of the cost.
